We know that the body, mind and spirit are linked and can affect your health and wellbeing. At the holistic health hub we’ve built up a team of trusted professionals who specialise in nutrition, yoga, fitness and psychotherapy. Working together, in harmony, they support and tackle issues holistically. Issues such as managing stress, improving fitness, food allergies and overcoming emotional hurdles.
We offer practical support and advice as well as hands on sessions either as one-to-ones or small groups. At the moment, our sessions are offered through live interactive events for small groups so everyone can benefit from the session.
As part of our holistic approach to health and wellbeing, we believe in looking at the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. We believe this is the path to health, happiness and growth.
About 17 years ago when I realized my body wasn’t dealing with dairy and wheat. I had suffered with IBS but hadn’t associated, that what I was eating was causing the problem. So my journey of discovery into food, health and wellbeing began! Over the years I have supported people who have allergies and have created a range of recipes which are easy to make from scratch using whole ingredients. Much of the food I prepare is predominantly dairy and gluten free but can be adapted to vegan as well as dairy and wheat inclusion. And of course tastes yummy!
I teach traditional Ashtanga yoga for modern lives in classes for everyone, from 11 to 75 years of age. I learned yoga the traditional way, by spending time in Mysore, India, with my Guru and by apprenticing with senior Ashtanga teachers in the UK. Ashtanga is a practice steeped in tradition, philosophy and soul, but this ancient practice is more relevant today than ever.
I am a qualified, accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist, and a mother of three children and a Labrador puppy. Over the years, I have helped clients overcome general anxiety disorder, depression, panic attacks, eating disorders, trauma, relationship issues, and bereavement. Psychotherapy leads people to overcome unexplained feelings, thoughts and behaviour that result from mental health issues by removing the layers to find the underlying causes, and becoming aware of why symptoms are occurring.
I am the founder of Push with Ush, fitness coaching for Asian women. But this wasn’t always the way – I have suffered with depression, bulimia, emotional eating and yo-yo dieting for years. It wasn’t until I found weight lifting and boxing that I was able to see the light and lost an incredible 32kg (so far, as I am still on my own journey).
I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer in 2017 and a Level 1 Girls Gone Strong Coach in 2019, and have been helping women ever since, both online and in the gym. I coach women on mindset, nutrition, and fitness as they are all integral parts to living a strong and healthy life. I’ve worked with women across the world including in the USA, Canada and Holland!
My mission is to empower you to take greater control of your health and wellbeing. Food and nutrition affect what you think, feel and do! I approach nutritional consultations from a functional medicine perspective, taking into account people’s symptoms, contributing factors and possible system imbalances within the body. I specialise in nutrigenomics, brain health, weight loss, weight management, gut health, and women’s health.
Martina has been practicing yoga for many years, and is a certified Hatha and Advance Yin Yoga teacher, a Reiki Master and a Sound Therapist Practitioner. She has always been strongly believed in the power of the sound and movement as a healing tool to restore balance, harmony and wellbeing in the whole body, through the principle that everything in life is in a state of vibration.
In 2018 she founded “Yogic Sound”, which combines yoga with the transformative power of the Gongs and Himalayan bowls, with the intention of bringing the body back to its natural state of balance and harmony.
